I usually see people in slow cars switch lanes at the last second when pulling up to a red light

What's the point of being one car length if your driving a slow car anyways and you have slow reflexes

when i split lanes, it was mainly to get ahead of a pack of cars because there were really too many for me to keep track of at once and it was safer for me to be as alone as possible on the road.

most drivers have zero idea how i react, will be far to close on my ass if i need to break suddenly. I don't trust drivers much in my car. let alone on my bike
