The only jobs you are going to get in this area through temp agency are driving a forklift somewhere or working in some Slavs house like Amazon.

Which not only sucks a huge bag of dicks it's an exteneley temporary solution to a permanent problem, that bringing need a large cash flow to get a place/car(hopefully) and sustain myself

Well you need some cash flow, period, so you don't end up homeless. Get work via temp agencies while continuing to put out resumes, or look into earning some credentials.

Define "turned down". If you mean you interviewed and got a rejection, fair enough. But if you mean you just applied and never heard back or didn't get an interview, then you're not applying to enough in a two week period.

My job is awesome. I handle casualty insurance claims. And inb4 Tlc says "I wouldn't want to do that anyway." that's cool and all but you're ragging on my degree when I have a really well paying job while you're applying to be a Walmart greeter. What my actual job is doesn't even really matter at that point.

I've applied to almost 500 jobs over the course of the past four years and haven't gotten a single offer. Sometimes that shit just sucks and there's not much you can do except keep trying and hope one will finally be interested. Sometimes there is no good reason why they choose one person over you.

Don't look at interviews like the final piece of the puzzle or like a test you need to pass and then you'll get the job. The whole process is a cumulative thing, not a series of steps to pass. You can ace the interview and still not get an offer. That being said, maybe you do need to work on your interview skills, but I wasn't in your interviews, so I'm not going to speculate and judge you on something I don't know.

You could have a degree in literally anything to get my job. Lots of jobs are the same way. If you have a bachelor's degree it's preferable to a lot companies regardless of what it is in.

Maybe try not being a NEET and you'll be able to get a decent job.

Think I'd rather die tbh. Not even joking. Not too interested in working 2-3 month stints in slavehouses so I can pay rent and eat and have no money to save otherwise then they get rid of you when your contract is up...

Unless they don't then you get a full time position in a slavehouse making just enough to cover cost of living. Wooo!

So I should get a degree in rock climbing or museum studies or whatever and spend the next 40 years paying back the money?

Doesn't seem like a reasonable investment. Probably makes more sense to make 30-40k without 100k in debt with interest.

It would be a good help if you could point me to a 6 figure salary I could make with museum studies. I'm looking into the University of Phoenix as we speak

Because I have a degree and those jobs are more competitive. I wouldn't say I'm applying to things that I'm way under qualified for, but it's easy for there to be dozens of applicants with more experience than me in what they want. On the other hand, I imagine to be a greeter, cashier, etc. they care less about you having experience in those things and more about you not being a crazy/sketchy person.

Also I have to apply to most of my jobs through an online portal where it might never get seen by a real person. I know some of the bigger retail stores are also like that now, but there are still plenty of places with help wanted signs up where you can go talk to somebody. It doesn't work that way at tech and engineering companies.

You have no idea why I made that topic. Your only reflection on this is "wow I have a degree on museum studies, this topic is asking about museum studies and therefore seems to be making fun of me, I'm going to be irrationally angry about this and wait for my moment of revenge grrr"

I actually made a topic saying "what jobs can you get with museum studies degree'

Post was blank.

That's what you are so triggered about Jennifer. No one is playing ignorance, this is a literal thing that happened with 100 percent accuracy.

If I made a topic that was exactly similar but said "Chemisty" or "Communications". Nobody on this board with those degrees would taken it as some apparent insane personal slight to the extent of harboring this much genuine malice

Even if they did feel it was some subtle slight, they would've brushed it off and not used an opportunity like this over a week later to bash me to make you feel better I guess.

But again your degree seems to be some huge sore spot fof whatever reason so again for the second time. MY bad Jenny.
