Do you think Obamacare should be repealed without a replacement?

Donald Trump has THREATENED Republicans if they fail to repeal and replace the ACA and said that there will be repercussions than they will understand in a fiery of tweets he's released.

It's one of several demanding they repeal Obamacare now and think of a new healthcare plan LATER, leaving more than 20 million off healthcare once again.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell from Kentucky is making one last ditch effort to resuscitate the legislation after stating they were moving in on the vote and forcing his members to take a stand now and to not leave town during the August recess

The process to undo the healthcare law Obama put in place was harder than originally thought as 3 Republican senators will vote against it and a bill to repeal and replace parts of Obamacare, losing the GOP majority they need.

In addition, Trump said he was outraged that Republicans are doing "very little" to protect the president after he claims HE put them over the line to win their primaries.

Do you think they should REPEAL Obamacare? let's see what people will vote

I'm for repealing it cause frankly it's done more harm than good and has actually made healthcare less affordable because of all the mandates some of which are ridiculous. Like it requires everyone young and elderly to have birth control pills as part of their insurance. It makes sense to do that for young people but there's no reason a 60+ year old woman needs to take birth control pills. Everyone I know who pays for their own insurance is having to pay 2 or 3 times as much as before Obamacare. And everything about it was a lie. Doctors can't just accept every kind of insurance like Obama said. Funny thing is most of the people I know who support it are all ignorant since they either get their insurance from their jobs or they are on medical assistance which is what they were on before Obamacare. It's a fruad and the guy who wrote it actually admitted that it was unconstitutional and that he lied about what it was to get it passed. If it were up to me he'd spend the rest of his life in a federal prison for treason.

Funny the only people NOT complaining is the insurance companies, their profits have soared and they like it. Healthcare has to fall out of private hands, end of story,

They spent eight years complaining about Obamacare and whine that they would make something both better and cheaper if they got the power, so why didnt they spend some of that time to actually make something better?
Because what they produced is crap.

Anything that came in with Obama is being attacked by Drumpf, it's kind of been his theme-it's not personal, just grandstanding and rhetoric as usual.

I'd agree with the "trial by fire" mentality but it's the wrong people who'll get hurt.

It'd be a mix. There'd be homeless and poor people in the cities that probably lean Democrat and also rural and mid-western jobless or working poor whites who probably lean Republican.
Both would be hurt, the latter would deserve it for voting these people in.

But yeah, I wouldn't want the undeserving people to be hurt, much as it'd be nice to see the people who voted for "repeal Obamacare!" Republicans get what they asked for.

this is all because of lawsuits
if people didn't get gargantuan settlements doctors wouldn't worry about hiring people
then we wouldn't have people working 70+ a week in the health care industry...

cuba has a great healthcare system even though it's economy relies on cigars lol
cuba fucking cuba has better and cheaper healthcare then we do, probably because it's just like working in the food industry to them the only top earners are the scientist and doctors
not the people suing everybody...
edit: and yeah monopolies make the prices sky rocket to infinity

I try to understand how America can be so nationalistic yet so disinterested in helping one-another achieve anything, thus making the country better. It's extremely hypocritical and all the dumber people believing everything the top 2% feeds them is honestly very sad. The average standard of living is higher in pretty much every other developed country because the people aren't getting fucked as hard or as often by handicapping themselves over swallowing propaganda that serves a handful of people at their own expense.

The strongest military is cool and all, but what has that done to personally benefit the average US citizen? I'm sure free college or health coverage would do a lot more good than a military that's sole purpose is to keep everyone trading on the US oil dollar and appease the corporate donors, etc...

Because Americans have been drilled since the 50s that sharing is Communism and Communism is the worst threat to the American lifestyle since the Nazis.

That's exactly it though. Being the most powerful currency in the world offers many advantages to the citizens of the United States due to the buying power of said currency. I'm against us being the world police though.

Strawman oversimplifications to the rescue!

Many people are against socialism because it stagnates progress, encourages laziness and systemic abuse. There are also those who don't want to be forced to pay into services they may not use. There are people who don't want to pay for those who can't or won't take care of themselves. There's also the fact that America is a very diverse nation, which results in decreased trust and kinship with your countrymen, resulting in a decreased desire to have your income forcibly taken to pay for others.

This is also one of the biggest factors in healthcare pricing. More or less every healthcare provider has to devote exorbitant percentages of their income to malpractice insurance and legal defense because our moronic system allows people to sue for just about anything, which means a lot of people try to earn big paydays for intangible shit like "pain and suffering and loss of companionship", etc. And they get these paydays quite frequently because the risks and costs associated with going to trial vs settling out of court just makes it easier for these places to settle and pass those costs onto patients. There was a lawsuit in my area recently where the plaintiff was awarded well over 1 million dollars because her 95 year old mother died from sepsis she already had while at the hospital for something completely unrelated. It's fucking insane.
