Figured this might be a good start to get to know you guys since I don't recognize most people after my long break.

I'll start. I love baking and I'm pretty good at it. I make everything from scratch, never any of the boxed stuff. But I'm totally left brained so nothing I make is ever really pretty to look at :(

i love baking too. the thing i love to bake the most is cheesecake. i took my family's recipe for plain Italian style cheesecake and adapted it to a whole bunch of different flavors. all kinds of fruit filling, chocolate, oreo, peanut butter chocolate, caramel apple, etc. you name it, i've probably done it.

Yummmm, I love cheesecake! It's funny, I haven't tried making it yet but it's something I've wanted to try. Any tips?

Well. I'll try to condense all my...odd stuff.

I'm a 30 year old Swedish gay Swedish man becoming a nurse that loves and is great at cooking that lives in a collective household with about 30 ppl that are all family, I'm also only attracted and feel comfortable with older men as my partners (50+) and I love to go to nudist areas and sunbathe and swim naked.

No, Wisconsin. And it's not really common no, but if you go to a farmers market around here you'll almost always find people selling local honey.

The suit does a good job if you put everything on and be diligent about it, but I'm not unless I'm extracting the full frames, which is when the bees get the most pissed. Usually I just throw on a long sleeve shirt, jeans, and some long socks. I've gotten stung so many times that it doesn't bother me anymore unless I get more than 6ish stings in a short period of time. I'll even sting myself if I have a back ache or my joints are bothering me, which is a trick I picked up from my dad.

be gentle in mixing the batter. no high-speed electric mixers. in fact, it's best if mixed entirely by hand. the less air beaten into the batter, the better. and let it cool slowly. once the baking time is up, turn off the oven, but keep the cheesecake in the oven and DO NOT open the oven door. let it go from baking temperature back to room temperature gradually over a few hours. both of these tips will go toward preventing the top from cracking.

I'll add a tip, when I make cheesecake I wait 24 hours before eating it. It gets so much better.

Ohhh thanks! Those are some sweet tips. Now I'm craving cheesecake lol. Maybe I'll make it next weekend. I just dont' have a good baking pan for it. What do you use?

We have many official ones, but a lot of "spontaneous" ones as it's called. They ain't official but ppl still go there and no one really bothers them.

We have so much amazing nature in Sweden so yeah :P

Interesting in what way?

I've just spent so much time in deep thought and introspection, almost to the point of uncomfortable. I'm not gonna be the generic tripper and say "my mind is so open" or any of that bullshit, but it's made me see things in lights I could have never imagined. One night I went nuts reading "The Paleblood Hunt" (90+ page essay on Bloodborne) while tripping and it was one of the most hectic experiences of my life.

I don't know if I have that level of self control! But I know what you mean. I make bomb apple pies and they're always better the next day when the flavors have had time to set.

Oww haha. That's awesome about scuba diving. What's your favorite diving spot? My husband is certified too. He had me take a class once but I got really claustrophobic.

Unfortunately I am not very well traveled. But one of my favorite diving spots ever was
Kailua Kona in Hawaii, they had a manta ray dive and it was amazing. I was literally surrounded by giant manta rays and had to actively avoid them.

I had to have my gallbladder removed last year.
What makes this unusual is that I'm basically the exact opposite of the major demographics that would need such a surgery. It's most common, according to many people I've spoken to, in older overweight women who have had children. I myself am a mid-20's man who is just barely overweight - like, 180 lbs. at 5'10". In order for my weight to have been a factor, I'd need to be obscenely fat. (And also there's that whole "I can't birth children" thing.)

Turns out it's genetic - I found out my mom's side of the family has gallbladder issues all over the place regardless of whether it makes sense or not.

I am exceptionally uninteresting to the point of spectacle.

I think it's because I'm afraid to commit to an identity and just express my natural self as it comes instead of having to pass everything through a filter of anything that could possibly seem unrelatable to people. I prefer to be gray to neither repel nor attract anyone instead of letting my colors out to attract some and repel some.

Like when people ask what music I listen to I give some non-answer like "oh a little bit of everything" (lie) instead of listing my favorite metal bands. There's a stigma behind people who only listen to metal and it embarrasses me. But instead of forming potential connections with other people who might enjoy those bands, I keep it private to keep my record clean and open to whatever positive qualities they want to project upon me.
