though I guess if he successfully resold them then people still got them at an artificially inflated price. Still frustrating as fuck though when it's sold out in every story and then there are 1000s on ebay for double the price.

Principle is going to make me not buy one of these for hundreds over cost, yet I can afford one regardless and kind of want to play this with my wife and kids.

Yet if we refuse to buy from scalpers they (eventually) will stop buying everything up. I guess. In 500 years.

I've come to expect this from Nintendo now, they care more about False Demand than making sure they make enough of a product, so EVERYONE has a chance to get it rather than giving Scalpers power.

Hell the new Amiibo's are already overpriced, Fuck those Scalpers, I'll just wait another month and get the F.Corrin Amiibo, a MOVABLE figure with BONUS PARTS AND ACCESSORIES, Way more worth it than a small little statue at that price....

The Switch came after the NES Classic and had massive shortage problems. They learned nothing.

I have one pre-ordered, not sure if i will cancel it yet or not, honestly i dont think ill play it much at all.

I just wanted the controller anyway. I hope all the scalpers get into financial trouble.

Won't happen unless the human race can learn self control, seriously, I doubt there'd be as many scalpers if the scalpers weren't so successful, they'd realize how much money they wasted if no one would buy their inflated prices, But people who have that kinda money WILL spend the money to get what they want, even at inflated prices....

Seriously, the only way Scalpers will lose is if they either don't have their stuff bought at their absurd prices, or we reach fantasy land of having Scalping be outlawed, which can never happen.

From my understanding, the Switch shortage comes from having to compete against Apple and other smartphone makers for the chips, which there is a shortage of. If the SNES Classic uses chips that there isn't stiff competition for, that isn't a factor. Now that they have an idea of what the demand actually is, based on NES Classic sales, perhaps they will produce enough to meet demand.
