So I'm playing Ghost Recon Wildlands. I'm not really a big fan of it, but it's decent for some mindless shooting and exploiting of the terrible AI. Plus I got it for free, so whatever. But what I just dealt with was complete and utter bullshit.

I'm in the Montuyoc territory attempting one of the Radio missions. For those that don't know, you basically just turn on a radio broadcast and have to defend the antenna for a certain amount of time from a few waves of cartel enemies. Normally annoying, but not particularly difficult. Especially with the guns I've got (sniper that 1-shots helicopters and most vehicles, and a 50-round mag assault rifle).

First attempt, I lay a couple mines on the only road leading in, so the enemies that come in via trucks get blown up immediately and I can ignore them. I take out the ground troops with relative ease, and when the choppers show up I just whip out my HTI sniper and pick them off easily. With 30 seconds left I've already cleaned up and am literally just standing around waiting for the timer to finish. About 10 seconds to go, and random Unidad helicopter happens to be on patrol and starts spotting me, so I pull out my sniper again and shoot it down. It goes spiraling out of control, lands right next to the antenna and with 3 seconds left it explodes and destroys the antenna. Mission failed. Fuck me. O_o

Second attempt, everything's going fine until the last cartel chopper. I shoot it down and duck behind the corner of a building to reload. The chopper crashes down on the corner of the roof and slides off right on top of me. >_< My AI squadmates are too stupid to get to my body to revive me, so I bleed out. Mission failed. Fuck me again.

Third attempt is going smoothly as usual. Last cartel chopper spawns in, and I'm expecting it (it spawns in the same place every time). As it's approaching I take a shot with my sniper and instead of hitting the chopper and making it explode a mile away, I actually hit the pilot. So the chopper continues in a perfectly straight line arcing directly over my head and crashing straight into the antenna before exploding and destroying the radio. Mission failed. -_-

Fuck it, I'm out. Escape -> Quit to Desktop -> Yes.
