I have never seen someone supposedly so mad over calm reason and discussion over a period of hours. I haven't blindsided you, I haven't done anything dirty. I just noticed comparisons that everyone either agrees with or at least understands the problem. You waltz in and just go "grr"

I completely agree with this. This isn't "lynch the guy who said something I didn't understand (of which I have gotten legitimately angry over)" it's "here is a decent argument on this guy"

Anger doesn't make sense here. At least not initially. Perhaps if he tried to explain himself more and it went nowhere it could resolvemto anger but I don't understand the initial angry burst

In that case I don't know what you're trying to accomplish. Expressing anger and/or humility doesn't really do anything for your own defense here. Despite all the angry paragraphs I haven't seen a single legitimate repudiation of people's problems with you yet. Chris is right that pretty much everybody else here sees the problem.
