cuz next week that will be me~

My current employment is technically contracted until a certain date, so I had to apply to another opening for a subsequent contract during the academic year. Good news is I got chosen for an interview! But I've never been in this position where I'm potentially answering questions I answered back in March about why I'm interested in this role and the agency. I've been on the job for 4 weeks and have some documents and ongoing tasks I've worked on to attest to at least.

I guess I'm not sure how informal the interview may lean considering I've become acquainted to the staff members.

Not really. We get performance reviews each year, but those are typically just to decide pay raises and possible promotions.

In fact it is actually pretty hard to get fired/laid off in my company. Last guy who got fired basically threw a punch at a co-worker in the office. The last guy to get laid off had 3 years worth of horrible reviews, and was put on "probation" for a year before it happened.

I'm hoping it's no pressure but since it's guvmint I think they have to go through official protocols regardless. So I'm going to keep my guard up going into it.

I'm just tryna make sure I keep this good thing going is all. I got nervous and anxious as fuck during the first go-round as well. Like rationally it looks like a good sign but in my experience, but I've approached each job interview as if nothing is guaranteed and I need to impress the shit out of the organization. It's usually worked; I've been offered a job after each one >_>

I can't help but get anxious. I just don't want to get too comfortable. I may wear a suit to work that day.

Pick an angle to go in with. You think you're a good fit with the organization and you want to work to further its goals, something like that.

I talked with my work team's assistant director and she gave me some tips for some of the opening questions, so I'll utilize those. My team's current project is scheduled to go until January 2018 so I may use that as reasoning to stay on board.

Nah no tie. I now have two suits (donating the 3-4 suits that don't fit that well). And of course I have blazers and dress pants and skirts I can mix into outfits. We'll see.

Kinda. Following a takeover, a company I worked for had individual one-on-one meetings with each employee to decide who they were going to keep. It was a weird situation.

Just watch for bedbugs >.>

Dead serious

They got on my clothing when I was visiting a relative who for some reason just festered in them eating him alive every night without ever replacing his mattress.... and i literally had to get a new bed after they propagated in my room too much.

Completely shake out anything you buy in an area away from your abode....

Honestly the only clothing Ive ever gotten second hand were suits, but they were from uncles and my deceased grandfather.. and sometimes shoes from my dad. Dress clothing is really expensive so sometimes getting those things for free can really help

That's how I got those 3-4 suits I'm donating. Unfortunately they're getting too small and uncomfortable. I do need to invest in new dress shoes though; that's worth dropping the money on.
