Growing up, I don't think I was.

Now that we're grown-up and my sibling's unveiled the psychotic side* that I knew was there but was never believed and has "failed to launch" even years out of college? I'm reasonably certain I'm the favorite child...

*Not sure what finally tipped my parents off. Perhaps it was the death threat against them...

As far as I'm aware my dad has no favourites and my mum is as good as dead to me. My dad acted like my little sister was his favourite when we were growing up but his then girlfriend(and sort of current) said I was his favourite according to my brother. She probably was talking shit though.

Of three kids, I'm in the running as an adult. In childhood, no way. My big sister was the smart overachieving one who was the clear favorite, my little sister was the sweetheart, and I was the problem child everyone wished would be more like his sisters.

In adulthood, my big sister is an out of control bitch that everyone wishes would act more like her brother and sister and whose way more trouble than her incredible gifts are worth, I'm the smart and sensible one, and my little sister is still a sweetheart (also pretty smart).

Turns out, when not burning all of your fucking bridges in a family dispute, being someone other people actually want to talk to helps a lot.

Yeah probably. The only male after three siblings makes it inevitable unless I was a complete fuck up.

Hmm...growing up, I wasn't his favourite as I wasn't born male. We are four children; 3 sisters and 1 brother. So, he spent a lot more time with my brother.

But now that we're all grown up, I can easily say that I'm the one with whom he has the best affinity. We get along great and can carry on conversations for hours. My dad's an oldie kind of man so he likes to talk about history; mostly the War. He's also well-read and loves philosophy. And at the same time, he's still kiddish and loves games and is okay with joining watching movies that happen to be animated films. So yea, right now, I'm his favourite.

Like, I'm not guessing or even educated guessing. I know explicitly that I'm not the favorite. If I had to guess, I don't really think my parents like me very much.
