You missed Skullgirls + all DLC being $1 by a few hours, unfortunately. It's not exactly active, but I mean, you'll still be able to find a match with the Quick Match feature any time, and the GGPO netcode is really solid, enough that I can play with someone in Brazil from the northeast US and still have a good match.

It's an overwhelmingly offense-oriented game, though, so it can be extremely frustrating trying to break out of a reset chain against a really good player, since it will feel like you're being comboed the whole match (there's several anti-infinite systems and rapid damage decay, but good players reset with a crossup or by baiting something from you so quickly that you feel helpless).

There's plenty of dope FGs on PC. However...

1. They're most likely going to be dead unless you find games with people on Discord
2. You're going to get bodied left and right as you are literally years (sometimes a decade+) behind others players in leveling up your play and getting good

Now, even though I personally don't like it BlazBlue is probably the easiest PC FG to get into that I would recommend.
