There isn't really an issue with space downtown, they opened up the convention center, which is freaking huge, and as far as I know it still has plenty of room.

The stuff about Olsteen is technically correct but also kinda weird. He's in the middle of one of the richest neighborhoods in the city, so it's not as if there's any logical reason the desperate poor would be showing up at his door rather than somewhere closer.

It's a good point, but it's still a shortage because people want to get gas and can't. Even if it's just because of logistics or whatever.

Price gouging solves this very easily though. Stupidity and ignorance disappear pretty fast when there's a high price attached.

The irony is that they're starting to run out of gas in Dallas and NOT in Houston.

Because the people in Dallas are all rushing to the gas stations under the assumption that a shortage is coming, but the people in Houston are all "whatever, the refineries will figure their shit out."
