And bonus question, for those of you who grew up as kids listening to their music (and other bands from the time period), how do you feel about them being "classic rock" now?

Part of being "classic" also implies being good

Well yeah, its to be expected that bands and movies will be considered classic as time passes

^ Hey now that's completely unfair.

You guys are so concerned about what's good and what's quality.

Dudes I'm talking about these being on the "classic rock" radio stations in relation to how old they are

Whether you like the bands or not, do you have an opinion on it being "classic rock" as far as time period?

I don't even really care much for the two bands I listed as examples personally, was just using those as classic rock examples

It's just kinda jarring for me. I grew up in the 90s feeling like Lynyrd Skynryd, Kansas, KISS, Fleetwood Mac, etc. were all classic rock. Now, 20+ years later, when the music of the 90s is the same age as the music of the 70s was at the time of my growing up, it's considered classic rock.

Just a "feel old" topic.

It's blowing my mind. It was either Nirvana or rhcp that I heard first a couple years back on a classic rock station and it sucked. But I can't stand most new stuff so im cool with it.
