I've earned everything that I now have today, that I've accumulated, that I fought tooth and nail for. And you're telling me that, just like that, they're gone? Sure, in my head, and in the record books, everything I've done is still there, but sometimes those physical reminders are there to help, and to be a constant reminder. It's not easy being Champion, feeling like you've got the company on your shoulders, especially when there are those out there that would like to see nothing more than for you to fail, to falter. These physical reminders are there for the days when it gets tough, when it's hard to go out there and put on the face of the top guy. And they're gone. Before RUIN, my sanctum was vandalized, but it's more than that. I didn't know how to respond, and, to be honest, I still don't know what to think, or how to process these emotions. Is it anger? Do I want to lash out? Should I do the right thing? It doesn't really matter, does it? I didn't have a match on RUIN, but I had a brother who continues to be by my side that I sought to protect, and I couldn't do that. Physically, I was present, as always, but mentally, I wasn't focused enough to stop Sultan from being put through multiple tables. I've been beaten, attacked, and blindsided both during my time here and during my Undisputed Championship reign, and I've emerged on the other end as strong as ever. I've never faced something like this, and I'd be lying if I told you it's something that I can just brush off as I continue to do my job. I said I was strong, stronger than what happened before RUIN, and I truly believe that. We were pretty content with just beating the hell out of each other for these fans instead of just making quick work of things. Still a lot of fire left over from those Undisputed Heavyweight Title matches. But like those matches, I once again proved my capability of pulling out the victory under any condition, and despite appearing to be the lesser performer throughout the match.
