Saw it on a plane to pass the time. I don't really do Star Wars, but I thought this was a really great backstory to the joke about the Death Star ship having a weakness, that's the kind of prequel I could get behind. It doesn't hamper the originals in any way and it explains a common joke that people poke at in a really emotional and strong story.

I was really surprised to having enjoyed it so much, having at first thought this was star wars 8 instead of Star Wars 0.

My favorite characters are Le Chiffe from Casino Royale (Mad Mikkelson) who plays a very sympathetic character here, I enjoyed his performance a lot. Felicia Hardy is also great she's just extremely attractive.

Something I noticed was that the rogue ones were all... minorities. I wonder if that was intentional to add to their ragtag bunch group feel.

Lastly, I loved Donnie Yen as the jedi-like guy who is the sage type. Love Donnie Yen and enjoyed seeing him here. The comedy in the movie was perfect; very little but so very well placed.

Iz a'ight, I guess.

They really should have just recast Tarkin, though.

The spanish rebel? I liked him, didn't think there was anything wrong with him. I remember him as that dude from the terminal hehe, who gets hitched to zoe saldana (way out of his league but suspension disbelief and all)

Although, I did think one thing was weird about him; he had hesitations about sniping and killing felicity jones's father right? He doesn't pull the shot. But earlier in the movie he kills a guy in an alleyway in cold blood, just like that! Why does he hesitate here? Found that strange, there didn't seem to be an adequate reason.

I felt like the monk dude was the strongest addition to Star Wars lore that we've seen since the double-bladed lightsaber.

Wasn't a particularly interesting character personality-wise but the way they used him to bring mystery back to the Force after Wookiepediaing and Midichlorianing it to death was very very much appreciated. Especially since it plays right into the ANH "dead religion" angle and it's unclear whether the Force actually assisted him or he just got lucky.

Rogue One definitely aged better over time with me upon its release.

The Force Awakens got worse over time with me.

I should take a walk into a similar arms barrage, and find out. The Force was clearly protecting him :/

I liked it for the most part, at least more than Force Awakens anyway. I wish they had given the characters more memorable names or something to really make them stand out. I wouldn't be surprised if people only remember the female protagonist, Donnie Yen and the droid K2SO eventually.

weird, i felt he was the second most pointless character in the movie, after his friend Blaze or whatever. i didn't give a single shit about either of them and neither added anything valuable to the plot or had any reason to be there other than to be cool and sell toys.

That's what happens though when you introduce a lot of characters anyway.

Nah he wasn't an interesting character at all, but it was a great move to ise hon to add mystery back to the Force.

I hated it because of the sound track. I realized about 30 minutes in the sound track was distracting to me, after the movie I learned that John Williams didn't compose it. so it could just be that I was expecting something else and now since im not expecting it I could like it... but yeah.

I don't remember the RO soundtack at all, which is kind of a letdown for either a Star Wars movie or a Disney movie, let alone both, but I guess it also means I didn't mind it.

TFA, OTOH, I loved the soundtrack to. I really appreciated that it didn't just reuse all the OT tunes and ended up with something different.

Same. I thought the movie was meh but it was a really fun experience in theaters because of the sound track, just made it fun. Haven't seen it at home though.

Just saw a couple of week's ago and really liked it as well.

I thought the score was interesting in a good way, still star wars but very different.

I must have been the only one who didn't like Rogue One. It had pacing issues, all the characters really didn't have any development, it really ended on a downer (Jyn could have disappeared into the EU), and scenes from the trailer weren't even in the movie!

Show me this trailer, I'm interested.

i didn't really like rogue one. Thought it might be worst star wars movie i've seen. Idk is it considered a main entry like the others? in number? But i did think that the force awakens might be my favorite SW movie of all time. I think these may be unpopular opinions though.
