Grow detached, do things on my own, try not to get sucked in. I'd leave them if that happened. Joint effort or none at all. Be it hiking, climbing, movies, concerts, dining out, going to bars, or anything. They can pretty much afford their half of the bills, their own food for the week, and that's it. This period of time might last six months, might last a year, might be a week. For the sake of argument assume it's the length of time that pisses you off the most.
