..... really? Like, you do realize why using an ad blocker makes you an asshole, right? I use one and fully acknowledge that I'm dicking over everybody in the process. So when one of the few major websites that is trying to stay ad-free and still stay afloat does something like this, shouldn't you appreciate what they're trying to do, instead of bitch at them?

I've always appreciated the straightforward nature of Wikipedia's desires to remain independent from any advertisement that could be potentially considered an influence on their normally neutral bias.

That said, I remember one donation campaign that had an all-caps banner. I fucking hate all-caps. I donated ten dollars on that one, if only so I wouldn't have to deal with all-caps banners again.
