I love Reddit on account of it pulling in such a huge community, there are basically forums for everything and they're somewhat active (old TV shows and such) but yeah, not the place to go for actual discussion on Current Events.

Usually the top several comments are all some kind of attempt at humor that you've probably seen in other Reddit threads already and the fact that minority opinions can get voted out of sight is just lame. I get butt-hurt on GameFAQs from time to time but never having your opinion challenged, even when you're self-righteously indignant about it, helps nobody.

Some of the smaller subs are actually fun to post in.

I like reading the bigger subs because they usually give pretty good summaries of articles and discuss them in a lot of depth. The top-voted comments are usually pretty quality and I look at it as a form of peer review.

I come to both. Reddit's better to be more of an observer whereas posting here is more fun in general.
