I have Witcher 3, Subnautica, and Ghost Recon Wildlands so far on my new laptop.

Subnautica is great and it's perfect for work since it's a rather slow-moving game and you can pause at any time, so when customers come in there's no problems.

Wildlands is just...well...it's very mediocre. It's extremely repetitive, and the longer I play the more glitches and just poor design decisions I come across. It's alright for a little mindless shooting, but I got it for free and I'm very glad of that fact.

Witcher 3 is pretty sweet, but I haven't put much time into it yet. I haven't really been in the mood for a sprawling epic RPG lately, but I know when I do get that itch again it's going to be great to dive into.

What I'm looking for right now is something a bit faster-paced. Maybe a shooter. Multiplayer would be nice too (though I never really liked super-arcadey shooters like Overwatch or TF2). But I'm also open to other suggestions. I also have a PS4, and I've got Battlefield 1 for it, so I'm not particularly keen on buying the same game twice.

Highly recommending Rise of the Tomb Raider. Didn't get much buzz when it was new outside of fanboy arguments over exclusivity but it's a great game.

All my fvorite PC games are really old but MoH Allied Assault w/expansions is one of my very favorite FPS games. Probably #2 after Call of Juarez Gunslinger.

I'm playing Sleeping Dogs on PC at the moment. The hand to hand combat makes it a joy to go from one marker to the next. Story seems pretty good so far too.

I know you said you didn't enjoy shooters like Overwatch and TF2, but I thought Dirty Bomb was really fun.

Warframe is another good one. It's grindy, but it's a very fun co-op PVE action game.

Oh, Everspace might be what you want. Single player only, but it's a fast paced space shooter.

I was gonna recommend . subnautica. bitchin game.
I'm really enjoying ARK at the moment. it's a dino-taming survival game that starts off very cave-man like but you can eventually build up guns/nanotech late game. Online is highly recommended, if you find the right server you can set up a base and tame animals that will persist even when you're not playing (there are very good anti-grief measures on lots of servers). There's a lot to go into, just look up youtube vids and see if it's your thing I guess.

They recently hiked the price though, which suuucks. I picked it up for 20 dollars just before it happened. It's 60 now. Defo worth the 20-30 dollars. idk about 60 though...
