I dunno. I am happy as i am. I find it difficult to connect with another person. I still am capable socially and not awkward, but i just dont bother findin new friend or girlfriend anymore. It is honestly exhausting.

It is like one of my old friend said: "spend much time alone, and you will get used to solitude. In time it will be normal to you and i think thats a scary thought"

And i think she is right with the getting used thing.

I dunno what really broke me, i used to enjoy social activities, now i do it only for utility. I dont sincerely enjoy socializing anymore. It is need, not want.

As for romance, i dunno. It is even harder for me to fall in love. Lust? Yes, i still have sexual desire to a woman, but love? Commitment, loyalty? Nah. I did fell in love with a,girl back then, we dated a while and it just flickered and burnt out.

The older i get, the less i feel desire. I am thinking that was just a phase caused by hormones in teenage years, because according to my parents, i wad like this when i was a kid too. Maybe antisocial is just my nature.

Dont think i am gay either. I dont feel attraction towards men and lust i get from women. It is just the aspect where you have to compromise your own life for other people turn me off.

I dont know why i am this way. Maybe i am actually depressed, maybe it is because of my egomania or i really am a sociopath.

Is it meant to be? I don't know, and quite frankly, I don't care. All I have realized is that after going through many emotions, that I am not going to let the biological primal side dictate how I should feel, it is simply a con.

If I am without a girl, or even that first kiss, what does it matter?!? The only reason all that seems important is because society is being held hostage by some small part of the brain trying to act bigger than it actually is.

If I have my friends still, then that is good enough for me.

To me that's the sad part. So many of us have mental issues holding us back or at the very least aren't getting near what we should out of life and a lot of us will never realize or overcome it.....

Do you want it? If you really want it, you keep trying. There are alot of people tbh uglier than you, dumber than you, poorer than you and managed to still get a partner.

Of course I want it. At least to know what it's like. I do really love being alone though, and gets stressed when I don't have enough time away from people. But I still want to know what it's like to have someone who cares for you, who wants to be with you, and to be intimate with.
It might turn out that I hate that, but I want to find out.

While it's typical to consider someone being alone as something pitiful, some people function better in modest social climates or solitary. Naturally this can limit their opportunities to find mates, but that's not always a concern for such individuals. To many of them, the possibility of having a relationship is merely a bonus experience along the way, not really a life goal.

Critics have a tendency to picture an awkward reclusive hobbyist geek as the poster child for such a lifestyle. However, a considerable amount of soloists are fairly impressive, talented, and attractive people. You just don't see them in society often because they prefer to limit their socializing to no more than a couple close friends. They don't suffocate if they cut their social uplink for months at a time like most people who experience sharp withdraws. These are the people you could station alone out in the middle of nowhere for months with only a library of books/videos and their work for entertainment...you check in on them a year later and they're just fine. Not everybody needs a hug once a week to remain sane.


Anecdotal, but one of the most impressively attractive men I've ever dated barely bothered going out into public at all besides for his career. He enjoyed reading and creating art at home. 98% of his social interactions were professional. Which I found incredibly ironic considering how talented, witty, and photogenic he was. He was well off too living on a fancy piece of property. My friends joked that it was like I was dating the darker brooding version of Bruce Wayne. I mean if you snapped a picture of this guy, he looked like he belonged on the front of a magazine as a social success story. He should have been Mr. Popular. In contrast, however, he preferred to be the farthest type away from that. One of the reasons we bonded for a while was our stark differences as a couple. I was a social butterfly, conversing with people charged me. He was the opposite, interacting with people besides his SO drained his tolerance, even if they were being positive. A lot of times he just wanted to roll up with a good book instead, which is part of why I left him. When someone doesn't feel compelled to find love, they don't appreciate as much either. That's just how it works.

The strongest reaction I got from him over our breakup was he admittedly regretted lacking the impulse to keep me. He preferred that I stay as our differences made things interesting for him, but at the same time he wasn't willing to pursue me either. Maintaining a relationship wasn't a priority for him. He didn't need that to feel secure waking up in the morning or going to bed. It was just something to cross his bucket list.

Some of you in this topic need to just get up and go do it. Even if you ugly, smelly, fat. Whatever. Start working out, taking better care of your personal appearance. Drop the Gap and start wearing name brands or look up sub Reddits with cheap clothes that are in style. Or just try to find a friend with that A personality that's going to help you find someone

People can justify being alone because they're used to it but nothing beats sharing life experiences with someone you love. My girlfriend drives me up the wall but nothing beats going home to her and our puppy

yeah. the present is fleeting and we don;t know what the future hold.

depsite my previous posts edgyness, i am actually living in a good time of my life. i am quite content with what i got now. a decent job to kickstart my career + opportunity to learn alot of stuff, good entertainment to fill free time, decent people around me, etc.

in fact i am more miserable when i try to fit in with other people. tried so hard to be like the cool people, follow whatever is trendy and that other shit. i fucking hated that part of my life. took me 17~years to realize and accept i'm not like that. around in highschool, i realized that i don't need alot of people. i just need few whose are loyal and dependable.

till now, i keep my small circle of friends of 7-8 people that i bother to keep in touch.
