but then these evil angels are like "how dare Goku! I hated those universes!" and now Goku fights the angels

Honestly kind of made me uncomfortable, but I dig it since DBS pretty much had no tension up until this point. However, I think something is going on. Maybe a rebellion or Goku wishes everyone back with the super dragon balls or the universe isn't actually destroyed Idk

this destroys the chummy perception Goku should have with Zeno and the other angels besides Whis

I like this idea.

Imagine if the angels don't really like mortals and this is why they turned a blind eye to Zamasu doing his thing.

Whis would probably be exempt from this because he's been too central a character so far.

yeah, I think Whis would be one of the few that would care about his universe failing. I can't picture Vados caring much. We don't know many of the others but I'm sure there's at least a couple that feel and care for their universes.

It's totally a big sham that zeno and goku made off screen. people's only argument against it is that goku is stupid and wouldn't be able to come up with such a master plan. but goku schemes all the time and it's not really that much of a master plan. He completely bs'd to nearly his whole team about the erasure and prize so he clearly has nothing against lying. Goku just wants everyone to take the tournament 110% seriously so it would truly be composed of the strongest fighters at their full potential and zeno thought it was an awesome idea.

Guessing zeno has just temporarily vanished them and will hit the reset button on his god pad once the tourney is over. yes, it would be complete bullshit. but i can so see it happening, just follows the trend of the rest of the arcs.

people are reading way to much into the smile in the OP too. That dude just hated his f***ing job because his supreme kai and god of destruction were useless scumbags, much like the rest of universe 9 supposedly. this is evident in like every scene he is in.
