I'm thinking of switching my gym membership to Planet Fitness to save a few bucks, and saw an article posted on their home page:

Men, here's why you never need to work out again

Planet Fitness apparently surveyed over 2,000 women on the body type they like in men. And:

A shocking 70 percent of women said they prefer a man with love handles, with 78 percent saying that guys with less-toned bods are more confident.

I have honestly never heard a single woman in my life say that they desire flabby men with love handles.

This is just an article to give fat guys with low self-esteem an ego boost.

It is pretty much feel good nonsense. Women have a stronger sexual reaction to men with toned bodies. The issue is, this is so rare nowadays, that they're just getting attracted to what is the norm, which IS men with love handles. Tone up and goto the gym, and you'll received a HELL of a lot more attention than any flabster. Even just casually working out now have people commenting "you hit up the gym?".

Idk about flabby but what I HAVE heard a lot of women say is they prefer a man that is in good shape but also some meat on him and not too huge. Basically, think of a guy that works out now and then and is ripped, now add 5 to 10 lbs to that.

Everyones different tho. Some women legit love heavier guys. Their big "teddy bear" and what not.

There's a difference between just being fat and having a "dad bod." Somebody with a dad bod used to be fit, but has relaxed a little, and as a result got a bit of a gut. They still have muscles.

It shows that someone cared and knows how to take care of themselves, but it also shows that they're not intense like a lot of gym guys, and that she can relax with him.

??? No one said Planet Fitness isn't a place to go get fit.

Planet Fitness is great for what it is: casual gym goers. It has everything, except free weights above 100lbs and squat racks (does have Smith machines).

PF, however, does it's best to try to keep you from exercising though:
*Low cost makes you more rational to say "I'll go tomorrow" indefinitely,
*Entrance looks like a cafe and everything is clean,
*Serve pizzas and bagels,
*Coloring scheme, and
*Threat of "lunk alarm" if you push hard.

Keep telling yourselves that.

When I got a tour of my local one, I asked that question. The employee told me their manager doesn't like it being turned on, so they never turn it on. They go to the "offending" person and talk to them instead.

Dont go to Planet Fitness. If you do, at least buy a barbell and weights for the home.

I always was like "what's the problem with PF"? But it is a pain in the ass once you start deadlifting/bench pressing over 200 pounds.

Ive spent over $200 in weights at home just to keep up to my gains. Id rather just pay the extra money for a real gym.

Women still do and always will love defined, fit men (think of them as the best hunters/providers). It's hardwired into their DNA like men like asses and tits (higher chance of birth success and sustenance for said offspring). They are signs of fitness, even if those traits were more useful a long ass time ago. Yes, we are that primal.
