I was trying out the auto steak and, like, I don't know my ounces to pounds to real grams. So I cooked it for 6 minutes instead of 4.

It came out a light-well, kinda more than medium-well but not quite well done... so it was still rather edible.

Back when I ate steak, I preferred having it cooked medium-well. I'd hardly call that "overcooking", but that's just my opinion.

What kind of steak was it? If seasoned well a ribeye can still be good at MW

At least it could have been worse! By the way, what on earth is an auto steak? I just sear it by eye in a really hot pan.

auto steak is the new george foreman knock off, claims to do a perfect steak every time since it is basically a pressure-cooker/panini press combo

You lost me at auto steak. A steak belongs on a grill.

I had a roommate that would cook filet mignon on a foreman grill. Even though the meat was stolen and sold out of a cooler in a trunk, it was still sad.

I make a damn good steak on the grill, but I'm surprised at how well a NY strip comes out in my toaster oven. Unfortunately, it also practically destroys the toaster oven in the process.

I've turned my fair share of people over to liking steak by cooking them a proper steak.
