i saw gg if it was a hard fought battle win or lose for me. Like in CSGO one time during arms race I was a weapon ahead of a guy, got the gold knife, he gets the gold knife and stabs me a little quicker than i could stab him so he wins.

Thats worthy of a GG. I cant get mad when we both played admirably and werent being cheap and he happened to best me.

I dont say it at the end of random games, no.

I very rarely say anything, unless I feel it was a really good game.

Unless it was a complete one-sided match, I always say "Good game". I have been in one-sided games where someone typed "gg" and usually someone would express annoyance with it.

I say "GG wp" after most games. The only times I don't is when I'm really salty with my team or the opposing team are asshats about winning.

If it was a close game or if they did something that impressed me somehow that wasn't clearly bot-related. Every time seems like it would dilute the spirit of the saying-if it wasn't a good game to you, don't say it.

lately in tf2 as part of my trolling escapades, i'll simply say "gg [my team] only" and "no gg for losers," assuming we've won of course

if we lose it's "no gg, nobody earned it" and "i didn't lose my team did"

Depends on the game I suppose, in person I'll say good game if it was actually a good back and forth game, if I lost, or the other person said it first. In my d2 pvp days I just said it after all gm duels, and when playing mtgo I'll usually only say gg to rub it in.
