I've only ever honked mine in a couple situations. The first is when I'm stopped at a light that turns green and the person doesn't move and clearly isn't paying attention. The second is if somebody in the lane next to me starts drifting over the line and getting too close, because that's just a hazard. I'm often tempted to honk at other times, like when somebody is going slow in a passing lane, but I don't wanna be "that guy" or cause some kind of road rage incident

I do it pretty often, but I feel like a lot of people here can't drive. For ref lights I give them three "one thousands" before I honk but I'm pretty quick when they start drifting over into my lane.

The only time I ever do it is if they are going to hit me or they are not paying attention and the light has turned green.

So not too often.

Well that narrows it down. By that description, you'd be honking on almost every single drive if your experience is anything like mine

Mostly the first one. I would for the second, but usually when that happens I'm too preoccupied desperately trying to avoid the collision to think of moving my hand to honk.

Yeah whenever they don't notice a green light or appear to be doing something unsafe or illegal

usually just if they're going absurdly slow, or sometimes if they aren't moving even though the light is green
