Pack 1 includes:
-45-floor Trial of the Sword. Clear every floor and the Master Sword will always be in its glowing powered up state while usable.
-Hero's Path. The game will keep track of the last 200 hours of playtime and on the map screen show you the path you've taken through Hyrule.
-Hero Mode. Harder difficulty setting. Enemies regain health, all enemies are powered up by one level by default(for instance, Bokoblins that would normally be red are now blue.) And enemies can be higher maximum levels. Also the world will have platforms held up by balloons that can have enemies or treasure on them.
-Travel medallion. Register any one spot in the world as a fast travel location.
-8 new armor sets including Tingle's clothes, Majora's Mask, Phantom Armor and Midna's Helmet.
-Korok Mask. While wearing this mask, if you approach a hidden korok seed, the mask will shake and make noise to alert you.

All of the new items are placed in chests around Hyrule.

Costs $20, which is a pretty steep price, but I believe the next DLC is included in the price? :X I'm not sure, the next DLC, which includes a new dungeon and more story will be out in December.

You can't buy the DLCs separately.

So it's all or nothing.

- Should have been a reward for doing all 4 beasts or beating the game. 45 floors of the very limited sets of enemies sounds boring as hell.
- Seriously, who cares about this? Plus I teleport around like Nightcrawler, how would it even show 200 hours of that?
- Sounds not fun at all. Enemies are just harder to kill and do more damage in a game where they already do plenty. No new enemies, no improved AI, nothing that adds challenge that's actually be interesting, just sheer tedium
- Legitimately useful. No complaints.
- Either pointless cosmetics (none of the new looks interest me, either) or will contain game-breaking stat boosts that outshine all the "free armors" so people can Pay2Win. Meh.
- It's so painfully obvious that they intentionally didn't let you register a Korok picture to your Sheikah Sensor just so they could sell it as DLC. Grr...

Next portion of the DLC might be better, but this first one sounds terrible.

The fuck? Have they always had DLC? I don't play Nintendo anymore but I can't think of a single other nintendo game with DLC.

They started doing it with the Wii U.

Hyrule Warriors DLC was really good and may have been the first time they did it, then they added DLC for other games like Smash Bros.

How? Seriously, how?

And if you can, that just makes that DLC item completely useless, lol

NSMB2 was one of the first instances, I believe. MK8 also had a pretty incredible DLC deal ($12 for 16 more tracks). It's certainly nothing new.

Yeah, if they expanded the map, or the drop pool, or the types of enemies in the world(redead/gibdoes? skulltulas? wallmasters? etc.?) or anything of the sort, I would probably be more excited for this DLC.

Oh fuck, I might be mistaken - I had treasure chests registered, not Korok seeds. My bad. I just remember finding a lot of Korok seeds while treasure chest hunting.
