off his party's votes

Two things that are likely: additional funding for opioid treatment and either a longer phase-out for Medicaid expansion, or a longer phase-in for Medicaid per capita caps

also, look to see a new draft of the bill as early as Friday.

if you are interested, check out https://townhallproject.com/ and see if there are any planned events with your Senator(s) during the recess

but that's even more government and its socialist. It's their problem, they should pull their own bootstraps.

You think he's going to try to appeal to the more moderate republicans? Because the nay-sayers are pretty evenly split between far right and moderate republicans, and in the current climate, my off the wall guess is that he would try to appeal to the far right republicans to win their votes. Though, I have no real reason to believe that, other than gut.

I expect him to make a play for both, but the conservatives have been louder about wanting to "get to yes," from my perspective, so I think the negotiations with them will get more public attention.

There are like 9-10 Senators who are saying they wouldn't vote for it, but a lot of those only started saying that after the decision was made not to bring it up for a vote this week. I'm not sure how solid they are against it. On CNN this morning, Caputo was saying that additional funding for opioid treatment wouldn't be enough to get her to yes, but public posturing is all part of the game. So idk.
