Free demo, so why not I said (It's on sale right now 20% off, so if I liked it, good time to buy).

Now it does have no monthly fee, and it's like $8 to buy, but honestly I just don't see the hype. Combat isn't anything special, which is what everyone seemed to rave about, and the quest system etc is the same old same old. There are a million free MMO's that do the same thing. Maybe the graphics are better, but honestly I can't even tell anymore.

So yeah, I don't get it. Still think DDO is way better then most of the newer MMO's released in the last decade.

Sigh.

I miss City of heroes, can't wait for the new one to come out.

Nah, from what I have seen, it's not really P2W but it's totally nothing new either. Biggest draw is the graphics, if you care about those. To me character customization and a real sense of skill mattering in combat is what is important.

I don't care if it's turn based, action, some combo whatever, as long as a brain dead zombie can't play it just as well as me, otherwise I turn into a brain dead zombie after playing it for awhile.

Nothing in BDO makes me have to stratagize or plan for combat (Admittedly early in the game so it may get better, but doubt it). The quest system hand holds you (leading you to what you need to do next), which is the new norm for MMO's, but also means you literally don't need to pay attention to anything.

Games like this (And there are alot of free ones) are just absolute time wasters that anyone can play, no real thought involved.

Maybe i'm being harsh and judging it too early, but i can't get through the early stages of games like this anymore to find the real meat if it's there, after playign too many others where I tried and found out no real meat actually exists.
