Suicide Squad was actually the first time I wanted to leave the theater. The second that Boomerang comes back to save the day FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON BECAUSE HE DIDN'T LISTEN TO THIS SAPPY BULLs*** AND HE OFFERED NO EXPLANATION WHY I was f***ing done.

that was so frustrating

it would both be funnier and more in character for him to just leave and it's not like that final battle loses anything if he's not there to uh... almost get killed and accomplish nothing

No, I meant visually. Like there is virtually no lighting at all.

Sure, it's grim dark because lolDCEU, but it is actually physically hard on the eyes to try and follow the action with absolutely no lighting.

I just mean they went for this route because of the target audience, they wanted the movie to be "dark" (literally)

God dark movies are so bad (Assassin's Creed, Max Payne, Suicide Squad)

My big problem with the sappy speech is not so much that I felt it didn't work or make sense, but more that I'm wondering why a group of VILLAINS is needing one, and rallying in the way they do. They should've tried to come up with a scheme to use the beam of light for their own purposes or something.

I thought the movie was ok, but definitely had some bad spots and awful editing. The actual good live action Suicide Squad can be found in the tv show Arrow by the way if you're interested.

Honestly, I think what could have really been done to make this movie more like what they wanted are a bunch of montages after the group gets formed where they're all working together to take out random threats. So we get to highlight every teammate, keep building up tension between Rick Flagg and Deadshot, and then show that they've been working together and becoming closer. So that by the time we get to this mission, they've been through some shit. And when Flagg tries to level with them, they can kind of understand him and would want to help stop Enchantress and save her. And then when they all share their stories it means more since they've been together and had each other's backs. And then when they go "We're a family!" It's not just a terribly stupid and idiotic thing to say with no build up for these people who have spent all of one day together.

Just give us a sense that these guys have actually had a chance to bond before this.
