The country is increasingly isolated from foreign affairs due to the "Brexit limbo": they haven't left yet so they can't negotiate new deals but since they are leaving they are not invited to key EU meetings anymore. And what is going on with Trump and the UK? That relationship seem sour too now.

They also have an authoritarian impopular leader in Theresa May and the country is beset by loads of terror attacks and then we have the tragedy of the Grenfell Tower fire which highlight the extreme class differences between rich and poor in the UK.

Even if the media were to paint things in the UK in a worse light to get ratings, there is a lot of bad stuff going on.

As someone in the UK, absolutely nothing has changed at all for me personally so far. Just different things on the news.

Pretty much how I feel about all the Sweden bashing internet and media likes to do. Which is not even accurately portrayed.

I don't follow the UK stuff that much so I can't say much about it and how accurate the media portrays it.

Yeah the day-to-day lives of most people are not affected by all these political shitstorms going on across the "Western World" as they call it.

There's also the fact that according to Senior Police officials the UK Police Forces couldn't handle riots on the scale of 2011.

It's not good to hear. It just means these people live very sheltered privileged lives and they're apathetic to the suffering of their fellow citizens.

Living in the UK and I can tell you since 2010 when the Conservatives got into power this country has been going down the drain and becoming an increasingly hostile place to live with everyone against each other and the weak and vulnerable being a target and scapegoat for everything.

Could you possibly be any more melodramatic?

Racist attacks are up, attacks on disabled people are up. An MP got murdered by a far right extremist. Thousands of disabled people are needlessly dying because of welfare cuts. We're likely to lose some of our basic human rights. There are plans for China style internet censorship and control in the next few years.

As a eu person living in england, even if I do get to stay (prolly can anyway itll be 5 years) the value of our currency dropped like a godamn rock and things are probably not gonna get much better.

I might just get a safety/trucking license and get that sweet, sweet oil money off of scottland.

hen we have the tragedy of the Grenfell Tower fire which highlight the extreme class differences between rich and poor in the UK.

Yup, 58 people and counting dead or missing because some rich assholes didn't want the building to look "ugly" and not only are all of those fuckers still in power, they have the nerve to make themselves the victims, it's a disgrace, then again here in America we've got a government trying to kill it's own citizens to fatten the wallets of the rich and even throwing out vets and disabled voters begging for their lives.
