I have a Galaxy S5. I've been on it for 20 minutes this morning and the battery is down to 80%. On days when I regularly use it, I have to charge it once during the day and it still runs out of battery before the day is over.

Is the Galaxy S8 any good?

Phones are all the same these days get whichever you like the most.

I don't have an S8 but the S7 battery life is pretty amazing. I've been texting and listening to music at work for 10 hours and the battery only drained 40%. On nights when I watch Netflix or YouTube videos, it will probably drain by about 60%.

If you want to shell out for the s8 then get the s8. BUT the best about you're phone us you can VERY easily buy a new battery and switch out out then your battery levels will be like new and you'll spend less than $50 now compare that to the $600-$800 s8.

That is like the one thing I love about Samsung phones, replacing the battery is stupidly simple.

If you want long battery life, then how about that new Nokia 3310? ; )
It has an Amazing battery life. It can last up to a month without charging.

I dunno if it's out yet though.

Cool. I opened up the phone to see if this spin test thing meant anything (it didn't spin very much) and now I can't find the damn back to my phone.

I found the back of the phone. My case is so damaged now though that I just threw it out.

If my battery doesn't spin, is it worth it to get a new battery? Is that spin test at all legit?

If youve had that phone for a year or two replace the battery doesnt matter if it spins or not. If you enjoy the phone and liked how long the battery originally lasted REPLACE THE BATTERY. OR if you have the money and want a new phone GET A NEW PHONE!
