How often do you visit the dentist?

I went every 6 months from childhood til 21. Then I had to cancel an appointment due to work and never rescheduled it. I'm 24 now.

Twice a year. Thank goodness for health insurance. Although I'll probably end up going anyway if I didn't have it.

Floss at least twice a week (you should do it more often, but it's tough to convince people to). A significant amount of cavities do not begin due to the crud on the front and back of your teeth...but rather what's left between them for months.

Flossing's the only way to hit those areas without a trip to a dentist; most toothbrushes cannot effectively reach in there.

Every six months! 8)

Have you ever watched the hydro cleaning youtube videos of people who haven't ever had them cleaned before? It's both disturbing and fascinating. Just big huge chunks of hardened tartar coming off, revealing tooth and gum underneath.

Even if you look after your teeth very well, they also check your mouth, tongue and throat for early signs of cancers, which you're not going to be able to detect yourself until it's much more serious.
