To the left, diversity means an amalgamation of skin colors. So as a concept it's been quite cheapened.

I live in Chicago which is a pretty damn diverse place, but it's diverse because there are different parts of town where different cultures congregate. You have Chinatown, you have the Ukranian block, the Romanian part of town, the Mexican part of town, etc, and all the areas that are a mix. The benefit of real diversity is that you have an opportunity to be immersed in another language/cuisine/culture if you want to. A simple amalgamation of skin colors in the work place has nothing to do with diversity, though.

But diversity does not fix those problems.

That's the left's issue here. They think the problems of homogeneous populations are caused by homogeneity and not the plethora of other factors specific to those populations.

All adding diversity would do is make it so people check around their shoulder before saying something bad.
