So a couple of door to door guys sold me on fiber internet. Don't worry, they were legit as I just finished setting up my account online. However, I didn't think to ask about a data cap. From what I can find online, it's 1tb. That should be plenty for online gaming, downloading games and streaming frequently, right? And what if the old 250gb is actually my cap? Trying to figure out if I should cancel or not. Thanks.

Hmm. I have a family of six that streams a lot of Netflix and YouTube. And I play and download games a lot. I'm thinking I could go over 1tb. Damn.

My wife and I don't have cable, so everything we do is using data.

Netflix/Hulu are streaming in HD almost constantly.
I play on XBL several days a week, and download all free games with gold each month.
And I browse the interwebs all the damn time.

Highest we've gone is 650GB a month.

So what I'd do is set aside the overage money and keep using data like you normally do. If you go over, you're prepared. If not, you can stop worrying.

unlimited with no cap is 30 extra a month or free with a bundle

They added it to my current DirecTV plan. Would that count as a bundle? I wish it wasn't nighttime so I could call them.

Maybe I'll do that. I just want to be done with Spectrum. Hate that company so much.

What country are you in? In my country there's no data cap. That's a thing of the past. and have been for many years. We still need some few mobile phone companies to drop it too.
We are paying for speed only.

most states have one choice at most 2 for internet service providers if it wasnt a monopoly we would have hundreds of options and cheaper prices and much better speeds with no caps

Monopoly sucks.
In my country, the government have decided that we all will have access to high speed internet before 2020. The internet providers must pay for it. And of course sending the build to us users. But it's worth it.
