Eh, I think its okay to sacrifice realism for the sake of gameplay here and there, but it just seems pointless to do it to things that are purely aesthetic. You can make the gameplay really unrealistic and actiony and still have it based on true events, but changing aesthetic stuff is when it starts to stray from the actual events its trying to base itself on. I don't mind if they wanna make a game that throws reality out the window and they start doing whatever they want, but putting little visual things that aren't historically accurate in the mix while still trying to portray a real event is just this weird place that's in between the two that isn't sure what it wants to be imo.

I just think its stupid to remove the swastikas and make it so players can play as black Nazis of all things. I can even understand why they'd remove swastikas due to potential bans from some countries, but black Nazis? I just don't see the point. Black Americans sure, but Nazis? I might be wrong because I'm not a history buff, but I can't imagine there were black Nazi soldiers.

That said, it is multiplayer so its not a big deal.

yeah it will. but nazi zombies has been a staple of call of duty for years, and also it's an entirely different game mode that's always been "out there".

COD multiplayer always seemed out there with silly emblems and tactical nukes. Not to mention I'm guessing there's still cheesy ass kill streaks and medals to earn.

Why on Earth would you consider anything about COD multi authentic. The campaign will be aiming for that more but you're still gonna be playing as a one man army gunning everyone down. It's casual fun. That's why it's popular. It's not meant to be serious. This is a game that sold celebrity announcers as DLC

I could care less about the race of a character in multiplayer. The only thing I take the time to look for is the uniform of the player because that determines what team they're on. I don't shoot the character and then take a moment to look at the face for historical accuracy.

Also it's impossible to have historical accuracy when players are busy doing 360 no scopes, children screaming fa**ot, and dog tags with drawings of a penis or an anime girl.

That game was 8 years ago and the developers for the older COD games are long gone. COD at this point is basically the Transformers franchise of gaming. This is why we have trailers featuring celebrities to show off the game.

Oh my bad, I missed his post. I didn't know there were black Nazi soldiers. I didn't go "There were no black Nazis!" tho lol. And I haven't seen anything about there being female black Nazi soldiers. Again, not saying that there wasn't, just that I thought there weren't, as far as my knowledge goes, and if there were not, then its stupid to include them. That's all I was saying.

I am looking forward to this game. Will not buy it if the game rewrites history to not upset less than one percent of the population who do not play games.

I don't think that's a new thing. Even Company of Heroes preferred using the iron cross instead of the swastika because it's just easier to market games in Germany instead of making two different versions.
