Don't you guys realize this is the best way to lure more women to geek fandom such as hardcore gaming, comics and anime? My wife is a hot geek bodybuilder like me, but I only know 4 woman in my life who were hot and were hot and also hardcore gamers or geeks who like anime and comics.

If you oppose more female MC like Rey, 2B or Wonder woman then stop complaining it's hard to find hot women who like videogames, comics or anime.

They don't. What I "oppose" is well established male main characters suddenly being changed to females just because. I could say the same about well established female characters being changed to male too but I can't think of a case where that has happened.

You say this, but then BioWare releases its user data and openly admits that in their games where the user can pick a male or female character, something like 80% of players choose the male option.

(And those are games where the admitted statistics seem to imply that more women than men play them.)

Combined with the sales bias that tends to come into play with games that have a female lead (though that's admittedly a bit of a "chicken or egg" situation), and it does seem that gamers, statistically, tend to prefer male leads. Which seems to reflect the usual biases at play for action movies, where female leads seem to be less well-received.

Whether that's something that might change - or even something that SHOULD change - is an entirely different question.

Becase there are more hardcore male gamers than hardcore female gamers at the momment.

There is a reason why in video games we played as bald/short hair guys for many years and that is because developers have a hard time developing hair that doesn't clip through clothing and shoulders. It's why Microsoft Female avatars still don't have an option for long hair because of clipping issues.
