34 of the characters essentially can never be obtained without spending hundreds of dollars for each one.


The game is such a grind and statistically you will literally get nothing. You will play and pull and play and odds are you won't be rewarded, even if you pay you won't be rewarded.

I famously had a tantrum in the general here where I spent 100 bucks on the game and didn't get a single 5 star.

I've been free to play since and haven't gotten a single five star.


It's just a tedious game with no real content. They lock it behind a huge pay wall (basically only people who spend 1,000 bucks every other week on the game will really get the new characters as they come out)

so you grind and grind and grind for the chance at getting them and you won't get them. I'm serious, do the math. The game constantly resets your odds after each banners end so statistically, you will probably never get anything.

Like it makes more sense to just start a new account every week than keep playing because your account will likely be stagnant after the initial pulls

And I'll probably still keep playing because I like the real Fire Emblem games.

I dumped so many orbs into the Echoes banners because I love Echoes and I didn't get a single Echoes character from either banner because they lock everything behind a paywall, man. Fuck, for fuck sake, at least make them obtainable as 4 stars. But nope. They want you to empty your wallets on shitty digital characters in a shitty mobile app.

Man, why do I play this shit when I can just play the regular games

I guess I get lucky on pulling 5 Star units. I only pull blues because all I want is Peri, but I still pull out 5 Stars pretty often. From the recent Weapon Triangle Focus, I pulled out two 5 Star Azuras, I pulled two 5 Star Charlottes from the Bride Banner, sometime recently I pulled a 5 Star Abel, who was just used to get a brave lance on Charlotte. Then there is the occasional other color pull when I there aren't any blue orbs present. I've pulled a few 5 Star Chroms that way, along with a 5 Star Caeda. I also got my 5 Star Kagero that way.

But I just want Peri. Why can't I pull Peri?

I pulled a peri and inherited skills from her.

Anyways, the odds support what I'm saying. You just got lucky

and I couldn't get them, not even Genny or Boey

I downloaded this game, but have yet to play it. It just seems like a P2W scheme with a Fire Emblem coat of paint. Also, from what footage I've seen, there doesn't appear to be any degree of strategy in the gameplay; it's pure fanservice.

I haven't really spent money on the game, but I have a decently large amount of 5 Stars that I pulled; and a couple that I have upgraded to 5 Stars from 3 stars. Its takes time, but isn't hard to do. Easy enough to spend 10 minutes here and there throughout the day to get enough Hero Feathers to upgrade. Especially with the amount of Stamina/Arena Restores they've been giving out since the start.

Most of the difficult gameplay are Arena matches where players set up their 4 best units against other players'. You control your own while the AI controls the other team.

There's a decent amount of strategy in terms of range, minding the weapon triangle, or minding counters/buffs/etc along with unit customization.

Storyline mode is mostly a joke in terms of gameplay/difficulty but a decent source of orbs at the start.

Otherwise you're parked in the tower of training slowly grinding out exp to get your units towards higher levels/max skill or making themselves available to donate skills to comrades.

Like most mobile games that also feature a gacha, it's a grindy marathon.

My chief complaint is how long is takes to breed up a good unit after rolling them and how same-y a lot of arena opponents choose to be (for good reason, but still)
