Back in October 2015, I let my father in law borrow a carpet cleaner. When we went to pick it up, it hadn't been fully emptied of the dirty water and a bit leaked in my trunk. Thought nothing of it.

Next morning I get in the car and it smells like rotting fish. I put all the windows down and took our other car to work. When I got home I febrezed the fuck out of the trunk carpet. The smell mostly went away.

But here we are, almost two years later, and the smell is still slightly there, mainly noticeable on hot days.

The fuck do I clean it with?

Well every car wash here is just one of those self service ones where you park in and use a hose attached to the ceiling.

And like I said the smell is usually gone, just comes up slightly on really hot days.
