Here, I don't even think they earn that much money. That's why there's like basically no anime geared equally towards a Western audience. Crunchyroll and Funimation have the widest selection of anime, much bigger than those sites, especially so since they made their partnership official and they've been sharing titles. CR has been adding subs of Funi shows, while Funi has been adding dubs and even making new dubs of CR shows. If you like anime and primarily watch anime subbed, a CR subscription is a fantastic deal for how much anime is on the site. Likewise for Funi if you primarily watch dubbed. If you already had subscriptions to those other sites for non-anime reasons and don't see enough unique anime on CR/Funi to justify the purchase, then that's understandable.
