Exactly what i did.

I left rookies and silver with a fire deck. I was so proud i finally built a deck with direction and not some cookie cutter almalgram of meta cards.

Then silver beat the shit out of it and now my deck is just cookie cutter beatdown...

I lost some of my soul but it got me to where I am.

Also these are the best tech cards or meta/anti meta I've noticed:

Security orb/wild tornado- counters HHG and Last gamble desert twister decks

Twister: counters any deck reliant on fields, weevils masks and burning lands, relinquished, wonder balloons, disrupts that trap that Paradox bros dropped and anybody running Big bang shot. Wild T does too but its slower by being a trap

Im using restart. Against most people I just use it based on whos starting and if my hand is better for turn 1 or 2.

Against field users i always restart in hopes of getting a twister (i run 2). Harpies almost auto lose.

And if you're running vanilla beaters I'd highly recommend Sonic duck. Gets under ladybug and boosts from HHG.

Neo is decent too for yami users but I'd rather play Kyonshee or grepher if you dont have the 1800 ones.

I like this cancer lol, my lack of Sonic bird and second Econ makes this incredibly inconsistent tho

Btw... Im Gold 5 again. The shame.

Harpies are now demolishing me. Cant a twister to save my life or draw both and one is dead.

Mako daedulus hammer head is killing me too.

On the other hand i made a plant deck out of boredom. The plant food cycle trap or whatever its called is amazing.

Too bad the only good plants i have are naturia strawberry and guardian.

Oh and gravekeepers keep beating me too. At gold and silver my cookie cutter deck was working fine but it seems at plat your deck better be consistent and have a plan of action.

I think KoG is beyond my grasp. I have no answers to gravekeepers and barely to harpies.

The subpar harpies lost to twister. The good ones run triple OtC amd Econ.

I should've invested in triple invader of darkness. That would've been 6 cards dead for them.

Nice- what deck took you to KoG?

I justified my purchases by thinking of this as the "new" yugioh handheld game.

I used to spend 30 bucks for a gameboy advanced yugioh game. And i spent plenty on the real life card game.

At my prime I was one of the guys at the shop you did not want to match up against in tourney. Those were the golden days of yester-year.

Im selling most of my trades to vendors online now. I no longer have the time to go out and trade/sell/ join tourneys. Being an adult sucks sometimes.

I literally got my third sphere Kuribohs before I got my second sonic bird this is real life

I made to Plat 1 but then dropped to Gold 3.

I just need to adapt to Mai and Weevil decks before I can try again.

I could go for the third Econ but I've got a pretty good farming deck for Kaiba so I'm having second thoughts.

Oh man mind scan is so dirty.

Opponent: sets e con michizure and has power of dark yami

Me: despells yami so all his monsters are now weaker than mine. Set s. Orb and econ and summon Duck and swing hoping he triggers econ. He does.

Opp: sets 2nd michizure and swings with toy magician. Orb that.

Me: seeing as he had no kuroboh, i summon a 2nd duck and riryoku that to my first duck. Then econ take his toy. 2550 plus 1600 equals dead yugi.

That wouldve gone so differently i have never seen double michizure

My turbo Supreme King Dragon Zarc deck now consistently beats Kozmo but still gets fucked by ABC half the time but running Solemn/other meta trap cards ruins the consistency of the deck

Zarc is only viably summoned with Astrograph/Chronograph since using a fusion card means literally having a fusion, pendulum, xyz, and syncrho dragon-type monster out at once You can use the extra-deck thinning Mega Monarch but lol

And to use them you need the Pendulum Magician incarnates of the four dragons in your hand/field/graveyard, but not face-up in extra deck or in pendulum zones :/

To accomplish that I run two of each incarnate Magician, 6 Astro/Chrono (and 1 Time/Stargazer), 3 Tune Magician, 3 Magical Abductor, a Skullcrobat Joker, support cards like Duelist Alliance and Pendulum Call, and after that, deck thinners like Upstart, One Day, Allure of Darkness, etc

This is generally not enough to actually get to Zarc, but it's still almost always enough to get like 4 level 4 Pendulum Magicians, which gives you access to Startime Magician, which generally pushes you into Zarc territory. It should be noted that in Link Format you only have one open Extra Monster out, but in such a case you can use Startime to search Chronograph and tribute him, freeing space for Zarc

If that's still not enough you can pray and sit on Startime (who has protection for your pendulum cards) or make Supreme King Dragon Dark Rebellion or Clear Wing

I was trying to make Darkwurm and the Supreme King Gates work (the gates let you summon one of the real dragons) but I'm not sure they're really up to snuff. If they add more main deck Supreme King Dragons in the future, it could work better, but I'm not hopeful about that

I was playing on Dueling Book and the guy I was against summoned a Jerry-Beans Man for his first turn and ended. That was it. I made Dark Rebellion or something and the guy flew into a rage and quit

I wish you could check your opponent's deck afterwards on that site, because I want to know what the fuck he was trying to do.

Also nice Gale Lizard, that was one of the first cards I ever owned IRL. Though isn't the lower limit on DL like 20? Maybe try to trim it down for consistency

Always cut it to 20 - 22, the chances you draw answers increase

do you have Dai Grepher/ Sonic Duck? If so you can make a basic vanilla beatdown deck with 3 Order to Charge, the dunames, and your two jerry beans.

I would say go with switcharoo as your default skill but that kinda got nerfed

An ideal build would look like

3x Jerry Beans
3x Sonic Duck (Meta-call against harpies)
2x Dunames
2x Dai Grepher
2x Enemy Controller
3x Order to Charge
1x Windstorm of Etequa
2 flex spots for Meta-tech

of course you can play with that as you see fit, if you have 2 or 3 Sargent electro you can do pegasus mind scan beat down

I'd lose blue eyes and probably still keep kaiser (good stats and boosts from enemy makos)

Shield spear isnt all that great. S. Orb and metal are good picks though.
