The world ocean is the habitat of 230,000 known species, but because much of it is unexplored, the number of species that exist is much larger, possibly over two million.[10]

Can you imagine what the millions of different species we've never observed before might look like?

Look how long it took them to find a living giant squid, a creature that exceeds 60 feet. 60 FEET and it evaded humanity until just a few years ago. Something that large can be that elusive, there is absolutely no telling what other sea monsters are out there waiting to be found.

How do YOU KNOW? Huh pal? Have you explored every depth of the ocean to know there is not an abundance of food down there? Should we call you Marine Biologist Supreme from now on? HUH?

Probably pretty similar to stuff we know of. Rarely are we surprised. It's mostly different fish or crustaceans or worms or whatever.

If I'm ever a super billionaire like Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates, something I'd like to do is built some badass submarine that could go explore all these crazy places. Kind of like in the book 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I'd lend it out to scientists and stuff for exploration when I don't want to be on it myself. I imagine it being pretty big too, like a penthouse inside of a submarine.

James Cameron actually did this. When he's not making succesful blockbusters, he often makes documentaries, one of which was on the exploration of the bottom of Mariana Trench (which is approximately 36,000 ft deep, making it one of the deepest ocean explorations ever).

I wish, since underwater horror is my one of my guilty pleasures. I guess Bioshock is the closest it gets. Aside from that we only get the occasional underwater horror-themed level, like the kolto harvesting facility on Manaan in KOTOR.

Are there titanic sharks and sea monsters in space, though? They had a tracking device on a great white shark and it was pretty big, already. Then, it just shot way down into the depths, way, way past where they go, never to return.

Something bigger lives down there that eats great white sharks.
