i thought the third season had some decent moments that showed some heart and thought but by the end i was just tired

so no, i haven't seen s5. or s4.

Didn't like 2 and 3 but 4 was fine again
I honestly feel like this show should end next season because it's getting tiring

What really puts me off about the last 2 episodes (MAJOR SPOILERS)is how they became trigger happy.
I find Peter death was the first "whoa!" moment in the show and Zoe murder was the best scene so far, so yes I am cool with killing off characters even in a..political show
But really, killing Tom? what for? because he knew too much? why make Claire tell him about that in the first place? killing LeAnn, yeah ok whatever
But then they killed off the tour guide dude and it was so pointless, like why? what was the point of this even?
And now we are also back to Claire vs Frank, which could be cool if we didn't see it happen in seasons 2 and 3l...

Mark and Jane coming out of nowhere to be so ridiculously powerful bugs me. Conway and Brockheart also destroyed themselves by random recordings rather than being brought down by any clever ploys from Frank. Speaking of Frank, he's been acting really off this season. He needlessly attacks people who can hurt him like Romero and Walker

How could I forgot the worst thing
Frank pushing Durant literally 5 stairs and making her go to coma.
It's not like waiting for a train to come and push off Zoe and getting a sure kill, here it was just a gamble. How many people pass out from falling 5 stairs? what if she wakes up and says it was Frank who pushed her?

Overall I've been feeling like the show's been going downhill constantly.

S1 was incredible
S2 was really good (but killing off Zoe in the first episode was a bad decision because she was one of the most interesting characters)
S3 was good
S4 was okay

Haven't gotten to S5 yet; trying to finish Sense8 S2 first

I always thought Frank murdering someone was not possible in the White House, but I guess pushing someone down the stairs to make it look like an accident could work
It's not the act itself that is dumb..is that we are talking about 5 (fuck it looks more like 4) stairs

Well now I've finished the season

I think the actual worst thing about that fall was how little it mattered. It felt like they did it because they wrote themselves into a corner when she was about to testify, but they could've just kept Durant as a spineless coward who didn't want to testify and it would've amounted to the same thing.

I'm also not sure where the show can go from here. Claire has to pardon Frank because he could easily destroy her by going public about all the stuff they did. She'll likely pardon him early next season, and then what? Frank starts a foundation to 'rule from the outside' and they argue over the phone every time something happens? That doesn't exactly sound riveting

It's been a while, but if I remember correctly....

Season one was great, season two i think was good, season three was so bad in fundamental ways, season four was okay.

i'm not chomping at the bit to watch season 5. On average I wouldn't say the show has been worth it after season one. Plus I'm a little too fatigued by real life political drama to want to spend my free time watching more
