I saw a picture of her and Linda Carter and they look like mother and daughter. She looks so much like the character. I look at a poster for this film and I see Wonder Woman.

I haven't seen her in anything yet, so I don't know what her acting talent is, but she looks pretty commanding in the role from what the trailer shows. So what's the deal?

Nerds hate her sharp knees. Everyone else is raving so far about WW being great and Gal being great in it.

He disliked movies like Friday the 13th which were gratuitously violent. He didn't hate all movies which had violent content, but he was opposed to violence for shock value. He ranted on those movies several times.

Wonder Woman has rarely been bulky. I don't know where muscle fetishists got the idea that she'd have huge arms in the movie.

Yes, he was against it. He'd always talk about how horror movies had no merit and he'd even harshly judge a lot of the ones with some merit to them. For the most part, he was not a violence guy.

He also applauded Pulp Fiction for the way the film created the illusion of violence by cutting away when Butch killed Maynard with a katana. There were a lot of movies that he liked which had violence. But if you had blood splatter against the wall for the sake of having blood splatter against the wall, he was probably going to talk down to your movie.

It is mostly SJWs being over the top.

1. You can't talk about violence being "justified" if the movie or TV program is a "good one," because which of us is to say what's good and bad? I admired the use of violence in "One False Move," but you may admire the violence in "Friday the 13th."

2. You can't talk about "gratuitous violence" because everything in a movie or on a television show is gratuitous. That is, nothing is necessary. It's all escapism and entertainment. That's why it's made, that's why people watch it, and everybody knows it. The violence in "Macbeth" is just as gratuitous as the violence in "The Evil Dead."

He didn't applaud it because it spared him and the audience from the terrible violence. It was the craft on display that could make you feel the violence without seeing it all. (BTW there is no cutting away at that part. You see Maynard get slashed in frame then stabbed below frame.) You're taking a few pieces he wrote about trash like Wolf Creek and I Spit On Your Grave and extrapolating it to his entire view of movies.
