It's almost as if releasing exclusively new characters for season 2 after Akuma was a bad idea instead of bringing back some veterans of the series.

Eh, 50k is only half of what a character costs, so it's not actually that big

I tried to get back into it a few months ago but yeah, I think the only thing that could make me hardcore again is if they announced Rose. Fighting games are weird, I need a combination of both a character I love aesthetically, but then also loving how they move and play within the game.. and I was never able to find that in SFV. I tried to make it work with Karin, and it was fun for a while...but it just never quite felt right.

Part of the reason I couldn't get into SFV was actually because there was nobody on the roster I really wanted to play. Like, I almost tried to get back into it for Alex but... I dunno. By that point I was already so disappointed with it that I just said no thanks. If they had any of the characters I loved from SF4, I would've been into it. But this game just does nothing for me.

But my goodness, adding in a bunch of new characters was such a terrible idea. They really should have known better. People would get so much more excited for returning characters. That's not to knock the new ones, because I think they look cool. But I'm not going to go back to the game and try to become invested yet again on the off chance I end up not really liking them.

It's still a lot of FM to give away just for logging in to the servers.

And yeah, I had the same problem. I mean, I love Ryu, so I'll always have someone to fall back on, but I loved Guy and Cody so much in SFIV. If they brought them back, I'd probably pick it back up again.
