Learned some new details over the weekend. I'm going to try to keep it vague and not confirm any characters specifically to avoid ending up on Eventhubs or whatever.

- 28 character launch roster, I know all of them but 1 for sure and I think I might know who the last one is.
- No Ace Attorney, Viewtiful Joe, Final Fight or Okami characters. No Ms. Marvel, no X-Men or F4 to speak of.
- Of the remaining cast there's one returning MvC2 character, nine characters coming back from 3 (ten if the last character is who I think it is) and only four more newcomers.
- I know of one DLC character besides Sigma and he's coming back from MvC2, not sure if he's scheduled for this year or next year.

There's definitely some cool surprises left but I get the impression most people are going to be disappointed.

As far as I know, Saikyo has been reliable thus far, and these leaks seem to be cosigned by Ryce who has definitely been reliable.

I'm not sure what Capcom is thinking aside from just rushing the game out really hard for a quick cash-in, but this seems like it's going to be received just as well as SFV was.

Honestly, I very likely won't.

But it's hard not to be disappointed. I loved MvC2 and 3, but Infinite just sounds terribly disappointing from what has been shown and leaked thus far. I've really wanted to like it, but I can't, and I'll likely end up skipping it, unfortunately.

Considering how much of MvC3 Chris was recycled for his appearance in Infinite I would have expected a pretty large roster

According to that NeoGAF topic they seem to be under the impression that there are;
- 2 Street Fighter characters
- 2 Resident Evil characters
- 4 female characters total
- No Black Panther (no black characters at all apparently?)

Good grief the meltdowns if these rumors end up being true.

They're gonna all be DLC packs. We all know it.

This is basically gonna be another barebones game just like Street Fighter V was at launch. They'll add more later.

It also looks like they're recycling a lot from MvC3 which makes this even more embarrassing.

It seems almost staggeringly stupid to kick out characters who were popular either in MvC, in their own series, or both, like Frank West, Phoenix Wright, Wesker, and Vergil while keeping characters who are a little bit dated and who didn't receive much attention in MvC3, like Arthur, Firebrand, and Nemesis.

Even with the limited roster, there are some downright mindboggling decisions here.

When I read 2 RE characters I thought they meant Chris and Wesker. I'd even put Jill in over Nemesis. Especially with how damn dire the female roster is lol

If that list is accurate I might just skip this at launch and wait for a discount. Nevermind that it's only 28 characters and that there are no X-Men, the majority of those are just recycles from MvC3, a few returns from MvC2, and a few new characters. That's lazy as all hell.

To be fair, I'm 99% sure you can't blame Capcom for the roster problems, especially the no X-Men, because Marvel are the ones telling them what characters they can and can't use.

Didn't know you could take this many steps back. They reused assets, so why so many cuts and so few newcomers??

It sounds bad when I realise there are only 6 new characters(maybe 7 or 8 depending on how much Thanos and Rocket/Groot are updated), and significantly fewer characters than vanilla MVC3 launched with.
