Last year I kept feeling tings in my left chest. I was worried and went to the doctor. The EKG was inconclusive. Got an Echocardiogram. Said I had a leaky Mitral Valve and a another enlarged valve. And to see a doctor ASAP.

Took Echocardiogram to the Cardiologist who laughed off their diagnosis and said I am fine and he doesn't believe their findings.

Took a stress test with cardiologist. He said I am fine and skedaddle basically and referred me to a pulmonary doctor.

Made me take an xray to go to a Pulmonary. Pulmonary doctor wanted to do a night study to see if I have sleep apnea (which i do not). And set me up with a follow up appt after telling me he would call in a day or two for my night study date. Never mentioned my xray which supposedly had an irregular finding on my lung. Asked him about it in the exit room why he didn't respond and he went back to check it and came back 30 seconds later and said lol its nothing ur good. He never called for the date and after a month I just cancelled the appt cuz they seemed to be wasting my time with the sleep apnea / sleep study stuff.

Anywho. Felt fine for awhile but over the last month I have felt a bigger pain in my left chest. Not really a pain but more of how you would feel if you felt you were almost cramping. Seems to happen on breathing but not all the time and I have no difficulty breathing. I can recreate the feeling if I lean forward towards my left side with my neck / shoulder.

What is my diagnosis besides obviously dying.

Thanks, keyboard doctors! ^5

Your only symptom is occasional left chest pain? Does it feel closer to the muscles or deeper?

Also yes if the chest pain has returned or worstened go back to the doctors. They might run different tests now based on the fact it's happened again.

I had a similar problem. Turned out it was a bad reaction to medicine I was taking. Survey your daily meds to see if you started any around the time the pain started.

I also got the pain to go away through a drug called Tramadol. It's technically an opiate, but not in the same way hardcore pain pills are.

I do not think it is a muscle. I am leaning towards a partially collapsed lung in my entirely nondoctor opinion.

Heart and lung issues are almost entirely impossible to diagnose over the internet.

It's troubling that certain doctors found certain things and then others went "NAH MAN," though. Granted, if a stress test was done, then it's likely the echo diagnosis that was indeed wrong, but... The lung xray thing is also puzzling.

Maybe, but the usual "I want money" thing is "You should come in for more xrays," not saying there's something troubling with one you already had.

Pretty bizarre overall.

No swelling at all.

If you went from your left collarbone it is like 3 inches down and maybe a quarter inch to the center. Upper left of the pectoral muscle approximately I'd guess.

I am considering this may be allergy related. I have severe allergies from the onset of warm weather for like a month. Usually mid may to mid june. Later or earlier depending when weather breaks and pollen comes out. But, my allergies this year and last were relatively mild due to taking major precautions for it now.

However this did start before I had any allergy symptoms.

It is not sharp. And it is not on every breath. I would put it moreso as a weird feeling. Like I feel a contractionish type feeling.

Ah, okay. I was hoping I could figure something out if the pain was nearer to the sternum since I've had experience with inflammation of the costal cartilage. It never mimicked heart or lung problems for me, but it does for most people.

There are a lot of things I can think of from this point from inflammation of the pulmonary plurae to spasm or inflammation of the esophagus and stomach.

Well I have been told that acid reflux and stomach ulcers can irritate nerves along the esophagus and stomach lining causing pains up through the chest area. So in my non medical knowledge having opinion you should probably take all the medications your doctor tells you to take and see if the problem persists.

Find another cardiologist. Maybe the first doctor was right about the leaky Mitral Valve and a another enlarged valve. Make sure you read up on reviews of the doctors.

Not sure it is actually heart related as the frelijg doesn't happen on exertion. Which I read is what is necessary for it to be heart related. Heart attacks run big time in my fathers family tho.
