I'm lonely because I lost my trust of people long ago and I abandon them at the slightest warning that they'd leave me. If you get the upper hand you feel much better knowing you weren't abandoned and you were the one to pull the trigger.

Because being lonely means you share your thoughts exclusively with yourself; reaching out to others becomes hard because you're so out of practice of thinking freely and communicating those thoughts.
