tl;dr posted on this board for a long time in lieu of rl social interaction (to clarify, no regrets. was awesome). now have stopped several years, but concerned self has not materially changed since then (even though circumstances have, considerably). reconsidering life choices. reconsidering choosing life, as the lothian speech would have it.

Blogfaqs is one of the main reasons I like this site

I use b8 as a crutch sometimes, too. Sometimes as a stepping stone to wean off of other addictions (mmos, parties/substances)

Can't say why I like this place, but I came back six months ago and it's been pretty okay

Random capitalisation FTW ^_^ this things smacks of tl;dr, so don't force yourselves <_<

So, I went out the pub at a quarter to six with my friends from the course I'm on, to celebrate the fact that our last exam is on Monday. If you like, it was a warm up for the actual celebration we're going to have on Monday evening <_< Anyway, we spent two and a half hours debating such fascinating subjects as whether or not Homer was several people, whether Ovid should have stuck to pastoral poetry, and whether or not Virgil or Lucan was the better writer of Roman epic. If all three of those points made complete sense to you, well done ^_^

Anyway, after that thrilling turn of affairs, we all decided to head home about 10pm in order to revise for our exams. I, being the greatest human mind since the guy who invented whiskey, decided that this was not necessary for me! Hence, I stopped off at home to drink some interesting coke-based concoctions, and set out for a very late bar in the expensive part of town.

Now, this part of town may be expensive, but the bar I went to is open until very late, and serves beer at decent prices. I started by drinking bottles of Judas, a beer which is 8% by volume (which I did not realise until my second bottle <_<), and spent a pleasant evening reciting lines from the Iliad to everyone within hearing distance. Later, as I went to leave, I decided to get another beer; one for the road, if you will. I saw on the blackboard advertising their various world-wide lagers that they were advertising a Greek beer called "Mythos". Aha! Said I. I am studying Greek! Surely, this is the beer for me! So, I bought a bottle, smuggled it into my coat pocket, and wandered outside in a daze.

As I'm walking home, I notice a gentleman being harshly berated by a lady. Apparently, the lady is annoyed (actually, in tears <_<) about the fact that a female friend of the gentleman has been giving him advice and he has been following it, and that whenever she, the lady, gives her gentleman advice, she is on his back. She concluded with the fantastic quote; "What makes her **** fragrant, and my **** stink?!" I walked by a tree which separated me from their line of sight. Here, I broke down into silent hysterics. The poor dude in question had no ****ing idea what was going on; the girl had obviously been planning this speech for days. It was absolutely fantastic ^_^ Also, I'm probably going to hell <_< I calmed down, and walked out from behind the tree looking sombre and stern so the guy wouldn't beat me up for laughing at his romantic ineptitude.

I decided that the night was an excellent one to have a cigarette; hence, I wandered up some steps to a terrace, and sat down and whipped out a box of matches and a pack of Marlboros (final fantasy marketing for the win!) I spent thirty seconds wondering what the hell was wrong with my match, before I realised that I was trying to light the wrong end of it. I turned it around, struck it, then spent two minutes wondering what was wrong with the cigarette I was trying to smoke. I later realised that I had the tobacco end in my mouth, and was trying to set fire to the filter. In my defense, it was very, very dark <_<

So, I get a new match and a new cigarette; I get the right end of each in the right place this time, and sit back to enjoy a relaxing carciogenic. When all of a sudden, I feel something poking my leather jacket. I look down and to my right; sure enough, there is a hedgehog trying to eat my coat! I look down at it, then i say hello. It looks up, startled, then sprints off at the speed of sound. I tell you, you wouldn't think hedgehogs could move that goddamn quickly with legs a centimeter long, but dammit; they can really move, and dammit; they've got an attitude. Well, no; no attitude, but they can move frigging quickly.

So, I sat very still, smoking a cigarette and drinking Greek beer until the hedgehog came back quizically. It looked at me; I say very still. It decided I wasn't important, and went over to the cigarette I had pitched away after lighting the wrong end. It hesitated for a few seconds, then decided to eat it. I think I got a small woodland mammal addicted to nicotine tonight; I don't feel good about myself. Anyway, I eventually went up to the hedgehog. I patted it once (they're frigging spiky when they want to be <_<) and it ran away again. "Ah well", I said to myself, "I'd best go home and tell Board 8". So I did ^_^

you are probably wondering "why do you have this saved" well I don't know either
