2/3rds of votes in the Montana election were early votes, which occurred before this assult happened.

So he did win the race, not because "republicans are evil!" but because the majority of votes were already cast.

Just felt like sharing this bit of info.

And keep in mind that Staten Island still elected Michael Grimm even *after* getting caught on camera threatening to throw a reporter off a balcony for asking about corruption charges associated with the federal investigation Grimm was under and, while campaigning, he would shout "Innocent until proven guilty!" >_>

Not that politicians getting elected while being publicly investigated is anything limited to one party. Sharpe James -- the former mayor of Newark, former resident of NJ's prison system -- was able to win re-election after re-election while selling public land to his mistress for a buck.
