I don't know I've liked the Archie comics for a long time, and I definitely enjoyed the show. the adults are good. Dialogue is usually a big complaint but I found most of it to be very self-aware and tongue-in-cheek. If a character says something cringey or ridiculous it tends to be on purpose.
