jcgonzmo 05/22/17 4:29:49 PM #1:	Not me. Games in that decade were focus on gameplay because of the technological limitations. They were not afraid of being challenging. Today, games have huge budgets and try to be as easy and cinematic as they can to be able to reach a mass market. No wonder games like Tomb Raider, Nier. ShatteredElysium 05/22/17 7:42:30 PM #14:	I think it depends on the type of game you prefer to play. Some genres age way worse than others. I have a far greater fondness for the 90's and early 2000's because that was when I dedicated ridiculous amount of time to gaming so cleared a lot of games. And the genres I typically enjoyed playing age pretty well (RPG's, Simulation, Point and click games, general story driven games). Whereas now I barely clear a handful of games a year and it's been that way for a good 5-10 years now. So when I look back those older years look so much better, especially as the games can be replayed now without too much lost due to graphics. Plus, it could be wrong but the impression I get now when playing newer games is that they go for graphics over story and actual gameplay. Maybe I've gotten more cynical as I got older or maybe it's just because I have far more disposable income now and can buy way more games making the ones I buy feel less special.
